MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently benefit from a 20p differential but that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been fulfilling with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of little businesses in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this type of market going it does require just a bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a blend of conventional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
